The P190 SMG aka the Sticky Shocker is a modified FN P90 LV/IR that is designed to fire non-lethal rounds.

Overview[]

The design retains its classic, compact bullpup frame and trigger but relieves the sliding stock and barrel to fit an electrical power supply with a directed output wiring in its place. It's been modified to fire non-lethal, electrical discharges at a directed approach. The charges can tamper with many electronic devices such as, lights, cameras, motion sensors and laser beams. The Sticky Shocker has limited consecutive discharges before it is cornptetely discharged though it can be recharged automatically as long as it's not used. Early types of the Sticky Shocker were also fitted with an under-barrel launcher that could launch various projectiles.

Usage[]

The P109 is used by the ShadowNet Spies within the gamemode Spies vs Mercs in Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory. It is their main arsenal used to disable security systems that Mercenaries use such as Cameras, Motion trigger lasers and Motion Sensors. It can also scramble the Mercenaries' electronic equipment. Firing at Mercenaries directly will temporarily stun them to disorientate and create opportunity to grab hold of them or eliminate them in the process.

Blacklist Legacy[]

In the revival of the gamemode Spies vs Mercs in Blacklist the Spies now replaced the P109 with Crossbows firing sticky shocker bolts. Compared to the P190 the bolts are limited have a finite range and may curve than the streamlined shock that the Shocker guns emit and must be reloaded after firing. Mercs being shot with these shockers can be stunned and disorientated making them vulnerable for close quarter executions. Like other types of ammunition they can destroy Mercenary equipment. The classic SvM gamemode which is a homage to the older versions have spies wield only crossbows with sticky shockers.

Trivia[]

  • The 'Sticky Shockers' that the P190 SMG fires are more similar to the Airfoil Round than the Sticky Shocker used in the single player aspect of the Splinter Cell games. The biggest difference, however, is that the Sticky Shockers fired from the P190 can never be used to knock out a target, only simply stuns them.
