The MP5-N is a 9mm submachine gun that is a variant of the MP5 and was specifically developed for use only by the U.S. Navy.


The MP5-N model is a 9mm submachine gun that was developed for use for the U.S. Navy, fitted with a retractible stock, modified trigger and a threaded barrel for suppressor attachment during covert operations. Despite the MP5-N model designed for American use, the MP5 itself takes it origin from Germany around the 1960s.

Splinter Cell: Double AgentEdit

In Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Version 1), the MP5-N is used by JBA personnel while the JBA Headquarters is being locked down in JBA HQ - Part 4. You can find the MP5-N equipped enemies in Low-Security Area, High-Security Area and the Underground Labs. While under relatively normal circumstances, the MP5-N can be seen in storage in the High-Security Area but unusable by Sam.

In Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Version 2), the MP5 is used by the kidnappers in the PS2 bonus level Ship.

Splinter Cell: EssentialsEdit

In Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Essentials, the MP5-N is the primary weapon used by NSA agents in NSA HQ mission. The MP5-N is also carried by Agent Fraiser in Steel factory mission. The MP5-N is the most powerful weapon in game, one short burst can cut down 75% of Sam's health. Even more deadly than M16 and Type-95 rifle

Splinter Cell: ConvictionEdit

In Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction, the MP5-N is available for use by the player. It is one of the most popular weapons among members of the PMC Black Arrow, so it is prevalent throughout the single-player campaign. It has a suppressed counterpart, the MP5-SD3, which is also available for use by the player. The MP5-N has decent accuracy and three execution marks after the reflex sight upgrade, along with a rapid rate of fire, making it a good backup weapon in tight situations. However, its moderate stopping power makes it less effective against the more heavily armoured enemies encountered later in the game or in the latter levels in Deniable Ops.

  • The MP5 was developed by Heckler and Koch.
  • For MP5-N in real life, silencer is its standard equipment, the MP5-N in any Splinter Cell game cannot use silencer though.
