Biography[]
2007: East Asian Crisis[]
On July 10th, 2007, American private military company Displace International met with the Japanese I-SDF in order to discuss the sale of a weaponized algorithm. The meeting was conducted in a bathhouse in the Shinjuki district with armed men from both Displace International and the I-SDF securing the bathhouse, and to make sure that the meeting would go through undisturbed. Kaneda met with Douglas Shetland to talk about the deal in a secluded steam room within the bathhouse interior. Kaneda intended to purchase the information warfare algorithms from Shetland, but did not intend to actually pay for them. Distrusting Shetland, Kaneda impatiently demanded the algorithms, during which Shetland accused Kaneda of playing games out of defense of his own honor. Kaneda's bodyguard, Tetsuo, calls him by name, to which Kaneda responds, "Tetsuo!" In one quick motion, Tetsuo swiftly raised his CIS SAR-21 and shot Shetland's bodyguard. Shetland, quick to respond, raised his Desert Eagle and shot Tetsuo as he was about to shoot Shetland. Realizing that he was now defenseless, Kaneda pleaded with Shetland to spare his life, but was greeted by a shot in the face by Shetland.
