In Essentials and Version 2, it is located in New Orleans.

Description[]

Version 1[]

The JBA Headquarters is a warehouse located in the dockyards of New York City, and has been heavily retrofitted to satisfy the needs of the JBA. The warehouse is three stories tall, with two more stories located below ground level. It hosts a medical ward, a cafeteria, a lounge area, a firing range, sleeping areas, and numerous offices. It is heated by a large boiler room, which also doubles as a crematorium for those JBA members killed during their terrorist activities. The warehouse hosts several labs that suit several purposes, including Enrica Villablanca (Version 1)'s personal research lab, a computer lab, and an underground zone for testing chemical weapons. The warehouse hosts private rooms for the JBA's key members Carson Moss (Version 1), Stanley Dayton, Jamie Washington (Version 1), Enrica, and the JBA's leader, Emile Dufraisne (Version 1). On the warehouse rooftop is a large radio tower, which is guarded at all times.

Another feature in the JBA Headquarters is the mine assembly room, which assembles land mines for use in car bombings and other JBA attacks. By the firing range, there is an elaborate obstacle course that contains laser beams, traps, among other things to test JBA members for strength and stamina. Finally, there is the interrogation room, where the JBA interrogates and subsequently executes its prisoners.

Most of the doors in the JBA Headquarters are voice-activated, and are authorized for only certain members of the JBA. Those who attempt to pass without the proper voice commands are likely to set off the headquarters' alarm.

Version 2[]

The JBA headquarters is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is a fairly-sized building with quite a few stories in it. There is a public area, but it is never shown. Both missions spent at the headquarters take place in the restricted area.

Areas include the roof, the entrance, the quarters, the server room, a warehouse, a dock, and a parking garage. There is also an underground bunker section, which is accessible only in the second mission at the headquarters. This includes many lab-type rooms, a sampling room (where the Red Mercury is held), and a lounge area.

Essentials[]

There is one level that takes place at JBA's base in the Delta Atlantic Warehouse, New Orleans, Louisiana.

The level itself is fairly small, and it only contains one large storage room, further in there are serveral offices, including one used by Carson Moss (Version 2). Where Fisher must infilitrate to alter the voice files recorded by Moss himself, in order to prevent his cover being blown. Its not known if the room belongs to Moss as his room would have very high security like version 1 and 2.

However, JBA already caught Lambert while Sam arrived at the warehouse, the altered voice record did help Fisher act innocent, but Emile ordered Fisher to kill Lambert to prove his loyality to JBA, which he was forced to do to keep alive.

History[]

Version 1[]

The JBA Headquarters was acquired and established prior to 2007, and due to its casual appearance, it was largely ignored by NYC authorities. After escaping from the Ellsworth Federal Penitentiary in Kansas along with JBA member Jamie Washington, Sam Fisher was brought to the JBA Headquarters to begin his training and initiation into the organization. Unbeknownst to the JBA, Fisher was a double agent working on behalf of Third Echelon, and thus spied on the organization while posing as loyal JBA operative.

It was from the JBA Headquarters that the Red Mercury conspiracy was overseen, as part of the JBA's latest plan to overthrow the American government. The JBA conducted numerous operations worldwide in order to obtain the means to successfully deploy explosives laden with Red Mercury for use as makeshift nuclear weapons against North American targets. It was at the JBA Headquarters that the actual bombs were to be assembled.

During Sam's tenure with the JBA, the network finally implemented its plans for the destruction of New York City, which they hoped would cripple the U.S. and the government. During this time, Third Echelon Director Irving Lambert was captured on the premises trying to contact Sam, and was thus interrogated and tortured. Sam was ordered by Dufraisne to execute Lambert, he choose to shoot Lambert or Jamie, and Lambert died minutes later. Fisher then infiltrated the lower levels of the HQ to discover that Emile intended to detonate the bomb from within the facility, an act that would kill him and the entire JBA. Fortunately, Fisher pursued Emile and killed him before stopping the detonation, saving New York City from destruction.

Once the bomb was deactivated, the NYPD stormed the compound and killed or arrested any remaining JBA operatives, effectively disabling the organization's operational abilities.

Version 2[]

Sam Fisher was accepted into the JBA after helping Jamie Washington (Version 2) escape from Ellsworth Federal Penitentiary. There are two missions spent at the headquarters. The first takes place immediately after Ellsworth. The primary objective is to adjust the four fuse boxes (located on the roof, near the entrance, on the docks, and in the warehouse) so the NSA can hear things happening on the inside. After that is done, Lambert will ask that you access the server on the second floor to send a link to Fort Meade. This server also contains a letter from Cole Yeagher to Massoud Ibn-Yussiff. The player can send this to Emile Dufraisne (Version 2), resulting in Yeagher's death, or to Lambert, who picks Yeagher up for interrogation. Opportunity objectives include scanning Enrica Villablanca (Version 2)'s fingerprints for the NSA and accessing Carson Moss (Version 2)'s computer to prop up your cover for the JBA. The second mission at the headquarters takes place after Kinshasa. This missions opens up the bunker seciton of the warehouse. Down there, there is a computer to either confirm Lambert's cover or his true identity, your final set of opposing objectives of the game. Also, Williams asks you to sample the Red Mercury to confirm that it's the genuine material and to locate Emile's list of contacts. Once everything listed above is complete, the Red Mercury bombs heading to Nashville and Los Angeles go into final preparations. The player has the choice to either use a computer within the bunker to prevent the bombs' defusal or to return to ground level and defuse one/both before they leave.

After this, the final mission in New York occurs and, due to the events, the JBA never returns to the headquarters again.

Trivia[]

  • A passage in the Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction Starter Kit states that Sam "has also conducted operations inside the United States, in places such as... New Orleans".[1] This may refer to the JBA Headquarters in Version 2.
  • The JBA Headquarters are drastically different between each version it's represented.
