Elysian Fields Cemetery is the starting first level introduction in the solo campaign in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Essentials. Ex-Splinter Cell agent Sam Fisher heads to the Elyian Fields Cemetery in Washington, D.C. to visit hist daughter's grave.
This mission serves as an intro to Essentials, and teaches the player the controls of basic maneuvers.

It's been a long time since a drunk driver killed your daughter Sarah while you were on a mission for the 3rd Echelon. A lot of things have changed since then, but you aren't going to miss visiting her graveside on the anniversary of her death.

Overview[]
Sam Fisher is emotionally distraught by the sudden death of his daughter as he was in Iceland performing a mission for Third Echelon. Former Third Echelon Director Irving Lambert had pulled Fisher from the mission to bring him the news that his daughter had been killed in an accident. Following the JBA Crisis of 2008, Sam sneaks into the Elysian Fields Cemetery on January 3rd, 2009 to visit his daughter's grave. He eventually makes it to her tombstone, but is ambushed by NSA agents who were looking for him. He is then arrested by the NSA agents, and then interrogated for information regarding the mysterious events surrounding the JBA Crisis and what happened to the organization, John Brown's Army.
