Carson Moss (1972 – December 21, 2008), was one of the main antagonists in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Version 2) who served as the Head of Security for John Brown's Army.
Background[]
Of all the JBA members, Moss has been with Emile the longest. Emile is also the only person Moss respects, and he uses his position as the JBA's head of security to bully everyone else - except for Enrica. Although Emile once considered Moss to be perfectly reliable, recent security lapses have started to create a rift between them.[1]
Carson Moss was born Gary Carson in 1972 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and had a history of child abuse from his father, resulting in having him jump to various orphanages. At one point, he attempted to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, but was rejected, and ended up serving a brief stint in the U.S. Army. Gary had many disciplinary problems while in the Army but nothing too serious. His problem carried on during Moss' civilian life while being arrested by local police officers numerous times, while doing muscle-work for various criminals, including working for a bookie out of Miami as a "kneecapper". In 1996 Moss was employed by PMC Displace International. While on security detail in Kazakhstan, Moss severed the ring finger of every man, woman and child in a small village as punishment for "harboring kidnappers". Moss was later dismissed from Displace. After that, Gary Carson changed his name to Carson Moss and went on to work for Dufraisne as head of security for the JBA.

Real name Gary Carson, removed from home at age seven because of physical abuse from father, bounced around foster homes and juvenile detention centers until he was old enough to sign up. Rejected by the Marines, did a tour with the Army, a couple of disciplinary problems, nothing major, left to become a kneecapper for a bookie in Miami. Spent half his adult life in jail and the other half as hired muscle for different crooks.
Red Mercury Plot[]
During the missions JBA Headquarters Part One and Part Two, it is possible for Sam to grab and interrogate Moss. In the final mission, Moss was defending a Red Mercury bomb on the 68th floor of an unnamed skyscraper in New York, and was killed by Sam.

- To unlock main profile in the mission JBA Headquarters - Part 1 (Version 2) Sam can obtain Moss's fingerprints by scanning them off his computer, the same which is used to upload false information that can confirm Sam's cover in the JBA on Xbox version and on the railing at the entrance on the left in PS2/GameCube/Wii versions.
